Werlitsch – Dreigenerationen Wein 2024 is a very light SKIN-CONTACT wine from Ewald Tscheppe of the iconic Werlitsch winery in Styria, Austria.
Dreigenerationen Wein 2024 is a blend of Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer & Welschriesling
This wine from Werlitsch is called Dreigeneration Wein, which means three generations, and is taken from a mixed plot which has been farmed by the Tscheppe family for three generations.
Whilst we haven’t tried the 2024 vintage of the Dreigenerationen yet, we hear it presents primarely aromatic aromas typical of Muskateller and Traminer, floreal, tea, but also walnuts, exotic fruit and some ripe citrus. The finish is mineral and stony.
Brigitte and Ewald Tscheppe from Werlitsch, together with Styrian wine producers Taus, Tscheppe, Muster and Strohmeier, belong to the ‘Schmecke das Leben’ (‘Taste life’) group.
Their philosophy is about protecting the land, and making authentic and expressive natural wines that stay honest to their roots. It’s an invitation to slow down, share a glass, and truly enjoy the moment!
