Extraordinary tango of acidity and sweetness and richness: caramel popcorn, fudge, spiced cashews, candied pecans, peanut butter, maple syrup, dried apricots, dried orange peel, inset, each layer, by a taut, shimmering, paper-thin lamina of citrus. It rises crescendo in the mouth, amplifies slowly out of the darkness, like the sounds of one… two… three… a bank of violins, the sound rising from the vault… To call a wine like this complex is tautology.
