Another belter, Aussie chardo handled more like it’s new wave Burgs. There’s no lashing of new wood to hide behind, and no sulphur either. Just old vine, free run juice that sees 18 months in old oak. Remarkable to taste! All custard creams and lemon curd. If you’re scared of the new world, please let this change your mind. It feels ‘frencher’ than lots of recent chardo from the ever warming Europe. Yes, there’s texture but also plenty of drive. Things are picked perfectly to ensure something that is crisp but not short on flavour. There is no adds and yet this hold up so so well. Tom’s a genius IMO.
