Description
Place: Rueda, Spain
Grape: Verdejo
Vibe: Hectic
Esmerleda makes four single-plot wines, this being the most powerful and intense. This site sits at a higher altitude in a sun-drenched, plateau-shaped with distinctive gravelly soils. Short maceration, vertical press before 6 months on fine lees in 500-litre clay vessels. Everything here is dialled up: concentration, texture, and drive. Yet it retains its aromatic lift, with a chalky, mineral core. Salvating rn. ABV: 13.5%
