Description
The Peterson Derry Rusticated 128 Fishtail combines a graceful Bent Dublin shape with the warm colours and contrasting materials that characterise Peterson’s Derry collection.
Originally designed for the Danish market, the 128 has a noticeably slimmer and more fluid profile than many of Peterson’s traditional shapes. Its tall Dublin bowl tapers gently towards the heel and is given a subtle forward cant, creating an elegant silhouette. From the bowl, a sweeping transition flows naturally through the shank and into the curved acrylic mouthpiece.
The briar is finished in a rugged dark brown rustication, giving the pipe plenty of texture while maintaining its slender proportions. A bright nickel army mount provides a crisp contrast between the darker briar and the distinctive Derry stem.
The mouthpiece itself is crafted from acrylic with a creamy caramel-swirled pattern, introducing warm amber and golden tones that complement the brown finish particularly well. Its fishtail design provides a familiar and comfortable Peterson mouthpiece.
At just 130mm long and approximately 31g, the 128 is a particularly lightweight pipe, despite its tall 48mm bowl.
Elegant rather than bulky, the Derry 128 is an attractive choice for anyone who enjoys Peterson craftsmanship but prefers a more slender, Danish-influenced shape.
