Description
Peterson Old Dublin Pipe Tobacco 50g tin
Peterson’s Old Dublin presents a superb blend of Cyprian Latakia, Gold Virginia, and sweet Oriental from Greece. This meticulously crafted blend achieves a harmonious balance, allowing each leaf’s distinctive taste and aroma to shine through. Unlike some Latakia blends, there is no overpowering forcefulness here; instead, the Latakia contributes a subtle richness, akin to a smouldering campfire in the background.
The sweet spiciness of the Oriental takes centre stage, complemented by the Virginia’s sweetness and earthy undertones. The Latakia adds its signature smokiness, enhancing the overall flavour profile without dominating.
Upon opening the tin, you’re greeted by a delightful aroma of smoky spiciness. The tobacco itself boasts golden to mid-brown ribbons with interspersed black ribbons. Easy to work with and quick to light, Old Dublin burns thoroughly, leaving behind a fine grey ash.
If you appreciate smoky flavours but prefer blends that don’t overpower with Latakia, Peterson’s Old Dublin is worth a try. Its balanced flavour profile makes it suitable for an all-day smoke.
