Mac-Talla means “echo” in Scottish Gaelic and is a tribute to William Walker, a whisky broker whose main focus was Islay and who established the family company.
This whisky has been aged in a combination of first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry butts and refill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads. It perfectly showcases the coming together of sherry and peat, creating a powerful, rich, smoky dram that is ideal for both lovers of peated whisky and sherry casks.
