How does Non-Grata by Dluhe Grefty taste?
Dluhe Grefty have become a firm favourite of ours recently and we are proud to import their wines – they really are super interesting, unique and delicious. Here in Non-Grata 2023, the wines gives off elements of spearmint, orange blossom, vanilla, cooked apricots, thyme, citrus peel, hay and Angostura bitters.
Sensational flavour and complexity for the price!
How is Non Grata made?
For 2024 Non Grata is Pinot Gris only (earlier vintages also had Gewürztraminer). In previous years the grapes spent a full month on skins and the wine aged for about a year in older wooden barrels before bottling, which explains the depth and the bitters-like finish.
Dluhe Grefty is a small family winery in Mutěnice in southern Moravia, working lots of small plots on clay and loess. Their first vintage was 2015, the work is done by hand, and sulphur is only used occasionally before bottling.
