Description
The Rafael González Panetelas Extra is a light-bodied Cuban cigar that reflects the understated elegance and traditional craftsmanship associated with this historic Havana brand. Produced at the Vegueritos factory using tobacco from Cuba’s renowned Pinar del Río region, it delivers a smooth and refined smoking experience in a slender, classic format.
Measuring 5 inches with a 37 ring gauge, the Panetelas Extra offers around 25 to 30 minutes of relaxed smoking time. Despite its narrow vitola, it carries a gentle complexity that has made Rafael González a long-standing favourite among aficionados who appreciate lighter, more nuanced Cuban cigars.
The profile opens with soft notes of hay and light cedar, immediately setting a delicate and approachable tone. As the cigar develops, subtle floral nuances and mild earthy undertones begin to emerge, supported by a gentle natural sweetness that adds balance and charm.
The finish is clean, light and slightly rustic, maintaining a consistent mild strength throughout. This makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a refined Cuban smoke without intensity or heaviness.
Originally established for the UK market in 1928, Rafael González remains something of a connoisseur’s secret, valued for its elegance, subtlety and timeless appeal.
