Description
This exceptional beverage is a product of meticulous ageing. The Kernel took their Imperial Brown Stout and subjected it to a fifteen-month slumber within two ex-whisky barrels, each boasting a capacity of 500 litres.
Despite a robust 10.8% alcohol content, the beer retains a delightful smoothness and well-rounded character. The initial aroma evokes rich cocoa, followed by pleasant hints of cream and chocolate. These notes are further complemented by a subtle warmth and spice, hinting at a deeper complexity.
The barrel’s influence manifests in a velvety texture, imbued with subtle oak character and lingering alcohol warmth. The flavour profile boasts a delightful interplay of dried fruits, raisins, cane sugar, and molasses, offering a truly captivating drinking experience.
