Description
Reps 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Marie Bourdon, in the Jura region in France. This light 10.5% red/white blend wine is made with 30% Poulsard and 70% Savagnin grapes, which is an unusual mix to see from Jura.
Here the grapes are grown on 60-year-old vines on light clay-limestone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested in small baskets, followed by 7 days of maceration and around 10 months of ageing in stainless steel. No added sulphur.
We have not yet tried this wine but expect it to be a little wild, a little fun and with some bright acidity. We have heard however that this wine must be drunk within 90 minutes, as becomes unstable with oxygen over a short time, so one to drink with friends swiftly, rather than alone
