Description

Peterson Sherlock Holmes Pipe Tobacco 50g tin

Peterson’s Sherlock Holmes presents a straightforward yet finely crafted blend of high-quality Virginias and Brazilian Burley, devoid of any mysteries except perhaps the absence of Oriental tobacco. While lacking in Orientals, the blend compensates with a subtle spice, primarily derived from the Virginia component, which includes Orange, Red, and Mysore Indian varieties. These Virginias contribute a sweet, citrusy, and grassy flavour profile, complemented by the nuttiness of the Burley, which harmonises without overpowering the Virginia base. With minimal casing, this blend achieves a well-balanced character that ensures a satisfying smoke, often requiring minimal relights, if any.

Upon opening the tin, one is greeted by a mild fruity aroma, reminiscent of apricot and citrus, unmistakably signaling the presence of Virginia leaf. The ribbon cut facilitates easy packing into the bowl, with a colour palette ranging from chestnut brown to golden brown, interspersed with darker sepia and chocolate tones. Dating back to the 19th century, Peterson’s Sherlock Holmes remains a timeless and dependable choice for pipe enthusiasts seeking a straightforward and enjoyable smoking experience.
