Description
Rattray’s 7 Reserve Loose Pipe Tobacco
Soft yet subtly sophisticated, Rattray’s 7 Reserve is a masterfully composed English-style blend, perfect for contemplative, all-day smoking. Made to Rattray’s exact specifications by Kohlhase & Kopp in Germany, it features Virginias as the foundation, complemented by a whisper of Cyprian Latakia, delicate Oriental spice, and a touch of Black Cavendish, no added casing, just pure tobacco harmony.
This delivers a gentle, even burn with minimal bite—ideal for moments when you just want to sink into the experience. On the nose and palate, there’s a quiet sweetness from Virginias, soft smokiness from Latakia, a refined Oriental zing, and a hint of sweet body from Cavendish.
Often described by smokers as a “civilised all-day smoke,” it’s versatile and predictable, improving with subtle richness as each bowl progresses. Its room note is discreetly pleasant, not intrusive, but undeniably inviting.
