Blanc d’Orange No. 5 Non Vintage by Christine and Franz Strohmeier is a natural wine made in Styria, blending 45% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Pinot Blanc, 15% Zweigelt, all from minimally pruned vineyards. This is a slightly orange wine, as the white grapes are skin-fermented and the red is direct-pressed. This is a sparkling version of the wine
We have not yet tried this, but hear that presents a dry, earthy and floreal character.
Christine & Franz Strohmeier, together with Styrian wine producers Taus, Tscheppe, Muster and Werlitsch, belong to the ‘Schmecke das Leben’ (‘Taste life’) group.
