Description
The West Tampa Circle of Life Toro is a deeply personal and landmark release from West Tampa Tobacco Company, created by Rick Rodriguez in collaboration with master blender Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. Produced at the prestigious Casa Carrillo factory in the Dominican Republic, this cigar represents both a professional reunion and a significant evolution in the West Tampa portfolio, marking the first time the brand has moved production outside Nicaragua.
Presented in a 6 x 54 Toro vitola, the Circle of Life is a full bodied cigar that delivers power, depth and refinement in equal measure. The blend features a dark Ecuadorian H Oscuro wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, with a complex filler combination of Nicaraguan tobaccos from Jalapa, Condega and Estelí alongside Dominican Corojo ’99.
From the outset, the profile is rich and commanding, opening with bold espresso, dark chocolate and earthy undertones. As the cigar develops, layers of cedar, baking spice and black pepper emerge, adding structure and intensity while maintaining balance.
A subtle natural sweetness runs throughout, softening the strength and enhancing the cigar’s complexity. The smoke texture is dense and creamy, carrying the flavours smoothly from start to finish.
Full flavoured, sophisticated and emotionally significant, Circle of Life is a standout modern release that showcases both craftsmanship and storytelling at a high level.
