Corvee de Trousseau 2022/2023 by L’Octavin is a natural wine made in Arbois, Jura with Trousseau grapes grown from Alice Bouvot, rather than her Negoce grapes.
This wine is taken from Les Corvees, a premium plot on the outskirts of Arbois. Expect vibrant acidity with some high acid aspects alongside rich, strawberry and plummy and earthy undertones with a vanilla hint. Here drinking in September 2026 the very mild tannins are structured and sharp, in an energizing way.

This wine is from Trousseau grown on forty-year-old vines in the prestigious parcel ‘Les Corvées’ bursting with legendary marl and ideal exposition. This is a blend of two vintages, where on each vintage the fruit was destemmed before spending 2 months macerating on skins in tank.

This was one of our earliest natural winemaker documentaries, shot mainly on iPhone. Visiting Alice Bouvot of Domaine de l’Octavin in Arbois, Jura again was a true pleasure. Alice is a gentle soul, thoughtful and somewhat spiritual.
