Description
Macvin Rouge is a fortified natural wine crafted by Les Pieds sur Terre (Valentin Morel), in the Jura region in France. This sweet , fortified wine is made with Trousseau grapes and seeing a red Macvin is more unusual than a white one, often made with Chardonnay or Savagnin.
The red macvins are a little richer in flavour, and work just as well with desserts or cheeseboards. Personally we like them as a little nightcap before bed. The final sip of the evening with friends.
This delicious red one has notes of grenadine, blood orange and bakewell tart glazed cherries. Sweet as it should be, perfect with dessert and one of our favourite Macvin. YUMMY!
