Description
Rufo 24 is a natural wine crafted by Matassa, in the Roussillon region in France. This orange wine is made with Macabeu grapes, and we hear it’s mineralic yet floral, energetic and also refined. ONE PER ORDER
How is Rufo by Matassa made?
This new wine Rufo is made with half of the wine directly pressed (so clear juice) and half of it macerated on their own Macabeu skins for a total of 4 days. This technique is sometimes called a Trompette. The wine ages in a mix of old Tonneau barrels and cement tanks, and like all Matassa wines, sees no addition of sulphites at any stage.
