Absolutely insane that the “entry-level” wine comes from vines over 130 years old. There’s a lot going on without sacrificing any freshness. The fruit is melon-like, almost banana-y, with a herbal edge and a vein of salinity running from start to finish. Those deep-rooted vines are clearly working hard! A little lees contact adds texture too. Pretty cool. ABV: 13%
